Meet Matt and Deb. They met each other in 2017 at their regular church and, as they say, the rest is history! When it came time for Matt to propose, he wasn’t going to let COVID-19 get in the way and, on a ‘spontaneous’ picnic at Mount Osmond, Matt pulled out the ring. He forgot to ask the question, but Deb said yes anyway!
When looking for their wedding ceremony venue, Matt and Deb were after an ornate chapel feel without the rules and limitations that come with using most churches. “We appreciated the flexibility of the Town Hall in being able to decorate the space how we wanted and to be married by our own pastor”, said Matt and Deb. As their wedding day approached, COVID-19 restrictions changed which meant the couple had to move their ceremony into the Town Hall’s Auditorium to abide by capacity restrictions. “At first this seemed like a disappointing turn of events, but it turned into one of the best decisions we made about our wedding day”.

On a perfect autumn day, Matt and Deb said ‘I do’ in the Auditorium. “Having the Auditorium as our ceremony location was perfect. It was such a wow moment to walk through the doors and see that grand, gold organ. The whole room was dimly lit with soft warm lighting and LED candles lighting up the aisle. Although it was such a large space, it felt warm, intimate, and special”, said Matt and Deb.
When it came time for photos, Matt and Deb headed up to the The Balcony for the perfect group shots before heading out into the city for more photos. The couple’s reception was held up in the Adelaide Hills at Lot 100.
