Hear the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra perform an incredible program live at the iconic Adelaide Town Hall in September.

The program features three powerful works.

Peggy Glanville-Hicks left a monumental legacy in Australian composition, yet her Three Gymnopédies, with their ethereal harp and oboe, evoke the valleys of another world.

Benjamin Britten’s Violin Concerto is an equally enigmatic tightrope walk between haunting lyricism and angular intensity, culminating in a powerful and reflective finale.

Then, experience Chief Conductor Mark Wigglesworth at the helm of Shostakovich’s fiery Tenth Symphony, music that expresses deeply private emotion in the most public of ways.
